William “Bill” Roger Borth, Jr., 91, passed away with his family by his side on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Harbor Haven in Fond du lac.
Bill was born on December 22, 1932, in Kingston, to the late William and Edna (nee Beahm) Borth, Sr. Bill was united in marriage to the love of his life, Dolores Ketter on May 31, 1997.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Bill was employed at Rueping Leather and Journeyman Machine and he kept in touch with many former coworkers throughout the years. Some of his favorite pastimes were playing cards with family, shooting pool and looking for deals at rummage sales. He enjoyed spending time outdoors. Bill’s favorite thing was to “putz” around outside and in the garage. He loved all animals, especially his dogs. He spent countless hours feeding the birds and squirrels.
Bill was a loving husband and father. Those left to cherish Bill’s memory include his wife, Dolores Borth; children, Steven (Sue) Borth, Jeanna Race, Jim (Cathy) Borth, Karen Baumhardt (Leo Goebel), Amy (Mike) Timblin, Becky (Jeff) Crofts; daughter-in-law, Lori Borth; grandchildren, Dan (Amanda) Borth, Kelly (Aaron) Knautz, Katie Borth, Benjamin Race, Michelle (Jason) Salow, Samantha (Julian Rodriguez) Race, Julianna (Jake) Dahlinger, Kelly (Dylan) Wendt, Jeremy (Alisha) Hendrickson, Mia Baumhardt, Michael Timblin (Maddie Schill), Mason Timblin, Morgan Timblin, McCoy Timblin, Kya Crofts, and Abby Crofts; 14 great-grandchildren; cousin, Arnie (Pat)Grams; lifelong friend and former brother in-law, Harold Remmenga; special family, Sue and Rory Hetzel, Kayla and Travis Pierce; as well as other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by two children, David Borth and Katherine Kibbe; sister, Blanche (Bob) Fenner; two brothers, Ronald (Lorraine) Borth and Donald (Jovita) Borth; also, his former wife, Patricia Borth.
VISITATION: Bill’s family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., at Twohig Funeral Home (305 Fond du lac Avenue, Fond du lac, WI).
MEMORIAL SERVICE: A memorial service for Bill will follow visitation at 4:00 p.m. and military honors will follow service.
