Tracey Ann Hafermann

Tracey A. Hafermann, 56, of Campbellsport, passed away on January 26, 2023, at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.

Tracey was born on February 13, 1966, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Richard and Julie (nee Leinweber) Muras. Tracey met her high school sweetheart and lifelong partner, John, in 1988. Together they raised two children. Tracey enjoyed pitching horseshoes with her best friends, Cookie and Julie. She also enjoyed gardening, going to the beach, fishing, butchering deer, sewing, and dancing. Tracey was proud of going to school and becoming a CNA and took a lot of pride in what she did. Above all else she loved her granddaughters, Haddie and Lily, and her family, including her dog, Sam.

Those Tracey leaves behind to cherish her memory include her lifelong partner of 35 years, John Hughes; two children, Ben (Jeanine) Hafermann and Elizabeth Hafermann (Tim Reese); two granddaughters, Haddie Hughes Hafermann and Lily Ann Reese; her father, Richard Muras; a brother, Todd Muras; other relatives and friends.

Tracey was preceded in death by her mother, Julie Muras; her mother and father-in-law, Pearson and Sharon Hughes; and her maternal grandparents, Benedict and June Leinweber.

In honor of Tracey’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in summer.
