Terry Polnow

Terry J. Polnow, 78, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on December 13, 1942 in Woodstock, IL, son of the late Harold and Margaret Polnow (nee Kain). He graduated from Woodstock High School and proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1961-1966. Terry was married to Elizabeth Schultz in 1968 and were married until her passing in 1974 along with their daughter, Jennifer. In June of 1980, he married Marie Stommel at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Campbellsport. Terry worked for 32 years at ANR Pipeline. He enjoyed listening to music, collected Rock n Roll records, and loved the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Marie; sons, Charley Polnow and Erich (Ashley) Polnow both of Fond du Lac; brother, Michael (Marla) Polnow of South Elgin, Il; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald (Janet) Stommel, Betty (Raymond) Schmidt, Ronald (Margie) Stommel, Elaine (Clemens) Feucht, Jim (Sandy) Stommel, Roseann (Joe) Ritger, and Glenn (Joann) Stommel. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Margaret Polnow; his first wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Jennifer; father and mother-in-law, Claude and Frieda Stommel; sister-in-law, Linda Polnow; brothers-in-law, Arnold Stommel, John Stommel, and Michael Stommel.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 2:30 pm at Ledgeview Memorial Park, N6250 Co Rd K, Fond du Lac, WI 54937. Family will greet relatives and friends from 1:30 pm until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated.
