Tami was born at Fort Sill Oklahoma on March 24, 1963. She passed away peacefully June 22 at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls, WI.
Tami graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids. She continued her education earning double Master Degrees in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology from the UW Madison. She received her Doctorate of Audiology from Central Michigan University.
Tami was really an amazing professional. She was such a strong advocate for her patients and students. During her career she worked at various hospitals and school districts in the state of Wisconsin. She also worked at the UW-Stevens Point where she was an assistant Professor.
Tami enjoyed teaching, traveling, and spending time with her family. She loved yellow roses and butterflies, but she was very passionate about stamping and card making. She was very artistic and enjoyed teaching others her craft. She often stated that it was her therapy.
Tami is survived by her daughter, Theresa (Kirk) Gehl, grandchildren, Sylvia Gehl, Dylan Gehl, mother, Sue Siedel, siblings, Tom (Sheryl) Gumz, Patti (Andy) Gburek and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Vilas Gumz.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Aurora Cancer Center in Oshkosh and the Susan S. Richardson Hospice Center for their amazing care and compassion.
Visitation for Tami will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2024, from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at Twohig Funeral Home 305 Fond du Lac Ave, Fond du Lac.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm at the funeral home.
