Susan Vande Slunt

Susan K. Vande Slunt (nee Frank), 66, of Eldorado, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 23, 2022. She was born in Oshkosh on August 8, 1956, a daughter of the late Harold and Beatrice Frank (nee Senz). Sue married Gordon Vande Slunt on July 14, 1973. Sue loved her job as a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home for many years. She enjoyed baking and cooking and made the best lasagna. Sue loved birds, her dogs, and plants. Sue also had an extensive jewelry collection. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Gordon Vande Slunt; children Chad (Linda) Vande Slunt, Heidi (Matt) West, Adam Vande Slunt and Trent Vande Slunt; grandchildren, Austin (special friend Emily), Carter, Keegan, Colten, and Ava; siblings, Pat (Jackie) Frank, Cindy Straley, Joan Costello, and Tim (Kathy) Frank; and sister-in-law, Marge Frank. She is further survived by Gordon’s brothers and sisters, Marilyn (Kenny) Engman, Betty Wilderman, Daniel (Sharon) Vande Slunt, Peter (Terri) Vande Slunt, Helen (Harold) Casper, and Kathy (David) Adams; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her in-laws, Gerald and Catherine Vande Slunt; brothers, Mike Frank and Jeff “Big Guy” Frank; sister, Penelope Peterson; and nephew, Lyle Perkins IV.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave Fond du Lac, WI. 54935. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm and burial will follow at St John the Baptist Cemetery in Woodhull.
