Shirley Ann Ertel

Shirley Ann Ertel, nee Swatek, age 86 of North Fond du Lac, died peacefully on February 24, 2024 at SSM Hospital due to complications of Covid. She was born on October 10, 1937 in Port Washington to Walter and Dorothy Swatek. On November 25, 1955 she married Kenneth Ertel in Milwaukee. The couple eventually moved their family to Waucousta, where they lived for 30 years before moving to North Fond du Lac. She was employed at West Bend Company for many years, until her retirement. She shared her love of beading and creating jewelry with friends and family.

She is survived by her sons, David (Rhonda), Ernest, Mark (Donna), Gene (Tiffany), Steven (Anji) and Thomas, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and sisters, Betty Fellers and Joan Folz.

Memorial services will be held at Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport on Sunday, March 3, 2024. The family will be gathering at 1:00 pm, with service to begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will be next to her husband at Estabrooks Cemetery, Fond du Lac.
