Shawn Douglas Gudex

Shawn Douglas Gudex, 28, of Lomira, Wisconsin, was unexpectedly taken to his heavenly home on June 11, 2022.

Shawn graduated from Campbellsport High School in 2012 and received a welding certificate from MPTC, Fond du Lac. He worked at Maysteel in Allenton as a metal fabricator and welder from May 2017 until his passing.

Family meant the world to Shawn and he would do anything for them, especially his niece and nephew. He grew up on a farm and was one of the most genuine, hard-working people around. When he wasn’t doing chores on his uncle Karl’s farm, he had fun teaching Avery and Kendall the adventurous side of being a farm kid by showing them how to drive ATVs and climbing around in the hay.

To everyone around him, Shawn was a loving uncle, a caring brother and kind human being.

He is preceded in death by his mother Karen Gudex (Giese) in 2016, aunts Jill and Diane, uncle Loren, and all grandparents.

Shawn is survived by his siblings Wayne (Stephanie) Gudex of Eden, Derek (Sarah Beltz) Gudex of Campbellsport, Raymond Gudex of Charleston, South Carolina, Rosemary Gudex of Incirlik, Turkiye; his nephew Avery Gudex, niece Kendall Gudex, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Tuesday, June 21 ^st at Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport, Wisconsin. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
