Richard James Wettstein

Richard J. Wettstein, 54, of Glenallen, MO passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. He was born on October 15, 1968 and he was the son of James and Mary Ann (nee Schneider) Wettstein. On February 1, 2002, Rick was united in marriage to Sheila M. Muellenbach in Las Vegas, NV. Rick was raised in the Armstrong area and worked as a flooring installer first in the Fond du Lac area and later in Arizona. Rick had a great passion for the outdoors; enjoying fishing and gardening. He also took great enjoyment from doing home improvements.  Rick and Sheila recently moved to Missouri from Arizona to enjoy a beautiful new home and 40 acres of the great outdoors. Rick was also an avid sports fan of the Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Survivors include his wife Sheila, mother Mary Ann Wettstein of Fond du Lac, WI, father James (Lori) Wettstein of Hebo, OR, sisters Deborah (Tom) (Wettstein) Koranda of Los Angeles, CA, and Theresa Wettstein of Surprise, AZ, brother Tom (Patty) Wettstein of Eden, WI, brother-in-law Tom (fiancée Danielle) Muellenbach of Malone, WI. Other relatives and friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his son Derrick, in-laws Joseph and Betty Muellenbach, sister -in-law June Featherston, and grandparents John and Elnore Schneider of St. Cloud, WI and Ray and Hazel Wettstein of Armstrong, WI.

Visitation for Rick will be Saturday, June 10th from 10:00 am until 12:00 Noon at the Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave Fond du Lac, WI 54935 followed by a memorial service at Noon with Rev. Ryan Pruess officiating.

The family extends a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Francis Cancer Center, SSM Health at Home Hospice and the Hospice Home of Hope.
