Michael Bruce Anderson

December 15, 1951 — January 5, 2024

Michael B. Anderson, 72, of Kewaskum went home to Heaven to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Kathy Hospice, West Bend. He was born on December 15, 1951 in Tucson, AZ, the son of Joseph and Bernice (nee Hackenson) Anderson. On July 24, 1971, Mike was united in marriage to Cathleen A. Prindiville in Milwaukee.

Mike was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to so many! Mike enjoyed hiking, biking, and the outdoors in general. Many wonderful memories were made in Wisconsin’s great Northwoods. He enjoyed quality time with Cathy and extended family relaxing in Minocqua on so many occasions. Mike and Cathy traveled to many places throughout their lives together. They even spent several years traveling and lived out of the travel trailer in portions of the country they had not yet visited. Mike enjoyed classic cars. He enjoyed working on them when time allowed. More importantly he spent time attending car shows with family, creating memories that will be cherished! Mike enjoyed collecting 1950’s Christmas decorations. Many adventures took place in search of these colorful Christmas gems! Mike was handy! Over the years, so many hours were spent working together on projects in the homes of family members. Though there were sometimes long hours, time seemed to race by working alongside of those he loved! Mike worked as hard as he played. Mike worked for the Chicago & Northwestern, and Union Pacific Railroads. He spent 40 years working in many different departmental divisions before his retirement. Most of his time was spent as a railroad car repairman, however he also ran a specialized crane to re-rail cars after a derailment. Mike also served his country in the U. S. Army and did a tour of duty in Vietnam. Most recently he volunteered his time with Meals on Wheels. Regardless, the most important thing to Mike was his family, spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his children Scott (Lisa) Anderson, Steve (Lisa) Anderson, and Kate (Matt) Hoffmann, grandchildren Luke (Hannah), Alyssa, and Grace Anderson, Ethan, Rachel and Megan Anderson, and Mikey and Norah Hoffmann, sister-in-law Patty Jachec, brother-in-law Bob (Gail) Prindiville, nephews and nieces Dan (Kim) and Ted Jachec, Dan Prindiville, and Callie (Alex) Lewandowski, many other Anderson, and Ames relatives, and so many friends

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Bernice, wife of 52 years Cathy on August 7, 2023, in-laws Emmett and Marjorie (nee Spies) Prindiville, brother-in-law Mat Jachec, and special friends Bob and Joan Ames.
