Michael J. Abler

Michael J. Abler, 66, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Monday, May 29th, 2023, at his home. He was born on January 6th, 1957, in Fond du Lac, the son of the late Edwin “Bretzie” and Nelda Abler (Grebe) and grew up in Mount Calvary. He worked at Mercury Marine for 30 plus years and U.S. Chrome for 10 years. Michael enjoyed electronics, computers, CB Radio, nutrition, bicycling, and was also an avid prepper.

He is survived by his children, Collin M. (Sandra) Abler, Nathan (Krystal) Abler, Christian Abler, and Trina (Mike) Peachy; grandchildren, Collin C., Isabella, Clara, Keathon, Aleita, and his expected 6th grandchild; siblings, David Abler, Donny (Jane) Abler, Audrey Riley, and John Abler; and his former spouse/ current friend, Maureen Abler. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Aaron Abler.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave Fond du Lac, WI. 54935. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm. Private burial at Ledgeview Memorial Park will follow for family.
