Marylin Marie Brown

September 15, 1937 — February 19, 2025

Marylin Marie (Weiland) Brown, 87 of Dundee, passed away peacefully on February 19th surrounded by her family. She was born in St. Kilian to Arthur and Rose (Eilbes) Weiland.

Marylin grew up on a family farm on the Katzenburg hill. Along with the working part of growing up on a farm, it also brought great memories of adventures she had with her siblings.

Her work life began early helping her aunt with their children, her father driving and picking her up to work at the Dinner Bell, working in her high heels and red lipstick at Regal Ware, raising her five children, owner and cook at Club 49, she had her insurance and real estate license working for Marv and Gerri Daniels and then later for Jaeger Insurance, cook at Taycheedah and Kettle Moraine Correctional Institutes, caretaker for her sister-in-law while learning and ending her work career doing the books for Mike Lavey Plumbing.

She was able to travel, which included going to Germany to meet family from her mother’s side. She loved sleep overs with her sister’s when they would put on their pj’s and play cards after their adventures for the day. Marylin loved feeding everyone, she made strawberry and elderberry jam which was an annual gift at Christmas time. Her sweet tooth ensured some sort of “goodie” to enjoy when visiting. She never missed a chance for an adventure with family and friends.

What brought her the most joy in her life was her family. She is survived by her children, Patrick (Lynn), Lisa (Eugene) Hau, Daniel (Kelley), Mollie (Tim) Schill, Bernadette (Bruce) Biller; her grandchildren, Erick (Sara) O’Brien, Tara (Abby) Brooks, Adon (Tayler) Brown, Heidi (Nate) Johnson, Meggan (Kevin) Knoblauch, Josie Hau, Hallie (Jay) Hau, Amanda Brown, Danielle (Cameron) St. Mary, Kerry (Kevin) Smith, Shannon (Cory) Schultz, Heather (Dustin) Butzke, Chase (Collette) Ebert, Jane Hacker, Dane Hacker, Tyler Schill, Trevor (Melissa) Schill, Tate (Bridget) Schill, Beau (Jenny) Biller, Brendan (Natalie) Biller, Brian (Shannon) Biller, Bruce (Lexie) Biller, 32 great-grandchildren, Emmett, Jackson, Zoe, Elowen, Cole, Olive, Elodee, Maya, Juniper, Lila, Layton, Avery, Xavier, Ava, Caleb, Wesley, Charlotte, Tuscan, Tessa, Tia, Hannah Silas, Esmae, Leland, Finley, Sullivan, Etta, Maeve, Elwood, Haddie, Maverick, Sage, a brother Don, a brother-in-law David Brown and many nieces and nephews.

Thank you to anyone who was a part of Mom’s life, prayed for her or helped her along the journey of her life. It didn’t go unnoticed, and we are very grateful on behalf of this woman who was full of grace.

“It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart…” Philippians 1:7

Heaven has been gifted an Angel on the passing of our Mom. With every breathe we take moving on it will be just a little shorter due to the hole that held her in our hearts.
