Mark Schroeder, 59, of Fond du Lac passed away on October 19, 2024, at his home. He was born on July 7, 1965, and was the son of the late Rodney and Arleen (Sauer) Schroeder.
Mark lived in Florida for over 20 years before moving back to Wisconsin in 2022. Even though he moved back, he remained very close to the many friends he had made while living there.
Mark was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed the Tampa Bay Lightning and attended many games while living in the Tampa area. If not at a game, he could be found watching the games with friends, catching rays on the beach or taking in the sunset. While living in Florida, after 20 years on the Packer’s season ticket waiting list, he finally became a season ticket holder. Although he couldn’t make it back for many games, we siblings enjoyed using his tickets. Upon moving back to Wisconsin, he was able to use his tickets and found his version of a northern Sunset.
After several years in the culinary field, Mark traded in his apron and spatula for blueprints and CAD, working as a structural detailer for over 30 years for numerous companies in Wisconsin and Florida. He never lost his passion for cooking, though, and enjoyed preparing dishes for friends and family.
He is survived by his siblings Timothy (Kerry) Schroeder of Kentucky, Kristine Schroeder of Grafton, David Schroeder of Alabama, and Pamela (David) Koenes of Fond du Lac; nieces and nephews: Joshua Koenes, Olga (Joey) Patenaude of Ohio, Mikhail (Rebekah) Schroeder of Texas. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rodney and Arleen and numerous aunts, uncles, and other friends and family.
