Marion Roghair

Marion F. Roghair (nee Hunke), 93, of Richland Center formerly Fond du Lac, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. She was born on April 3, 1928 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Anna Marie Hunke. Marion graduated from Fond du Lac High School in 1946 and on November 3, 1947 she married Nick Roghair. She worked briefly at Bell Phone as a telephone operator and later worked as a machine operator for Best Rollr/Liebco.  Marion was an active member of Church of Peace where she taught Sunday School in the Primary Department and later became the Superintendent of the Primary Department. She was also a member of the Martha Society. Marion enjoyed canning, playing cards, especially sheepshead and poker, adult coloring books, watching the Brewers and Packers, and was an avid bowler.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her son, Barry (Janet) Roghair of Richland Center, WI; grandchildren, Tony Vadnais of Salt Lake City, UT, Craig (Laura) Roghair of Blacksburg, VA, Janelle Roghair of Chester, NH, and Christopher (Ellyn) Roghair of Hudson, WI; great grandchildren, Nanette Roghair, Nicholas Roghair, Zoey Roghair, and Stella Marion Roghair; and sister, Ruth Galles of St Louis, MO. She is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nick; daughter Deborah “Chick” Vadnais; and son-in-law, Thomas Vadnais.

Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave Fond du Lac, WI. 54935. Burial will follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park. Marion’s family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Our House Senior Living, St. Croix Hospice, or the Church of Peace.
