Lyle N. Immel, 82, of North Fond du Lac, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Hospice Home of Hope. He was born in Fond du Lac on September 9, 1940, a son of the late Walter and Dora Immel (nee Becker). Lyle proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy from 1960-1964. On September 27, 1975, he married Barb Fink. Lyle was a truck driver and owned Lyle Immel Trucking. He was a member of the Empire Thresheree, V.F.W. Post 896 in Martinsburg, WV, and was a lifetime member of the Harley Owners Group. He was also an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed his many trips to Sturgis. You could always find Lyle at his breakfast club, riding tractors, or working in his shop.
He will be missed by his wife, Barb Immel; children, Michael (Kelli) Immel and their daughter, Tiffany (Matthew) Orlando, and Brenda (Don) Bly; step children, David (Sue) Schmitz and their daughter Heather (Daniel Krenn) Perry, and Daniel (Michelle) Schmitz and their daughters, Miranda (William) Page and Nicole (Kurtis) Henning; great-grandchildren, Everett, Vincent, and Whitney; siblings, Delores Mielke, Marge (Jerry) Geiger, Vernon (Lila) Immel; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Immel and Verna Immel. Lyle is further survived by his mother-in-law, Dorothy Fink; Barb’s sister and brother, Jackie (Herb) Shady and Dan Fink; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Marvin Fink; and siblings, Mildred (George) Keys, Raymond (Charlotte) Immel, Fred Mielke, Myron (Susan) Immel, Harlan Immel and Gordon Immel.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 1:30 pm at Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave Fond du Lac, WI. 54935 and entombment will follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park.
Lyle’s family will greet relatives and friends from 11:30 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to SSM Health Hospice, 430 E Division St. Fond du Lac, WI. 54935.
