Lyle G. Hinn

July 14, 1933 — February 13, 2025

Mt. Calvary

Lyle George Albert Hinn age 91, of Mt. Calvary went home with the Lord on February 13, 2025 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. Born on July 14, 1933, in the Town of Forest son of the late Will and Clara (Mueller) Hinn. Lyle graduated from Winnebago Lutheran Academy in 1951. On September 16, 1961, he married Bernice Grahl at Salem United Methodist Church. They were blessed with four beautiful children.

The Hinn Family Dairy Farm has been operating and in the family since 1850. His proud legacy still continues to this day. Lyle enjoyed watching the Badgers, Brewers, Bucks and was a proud Green Bay Packer season ticket holder. He also was a dedicated Forest Athletic Club fan attending numerous events. Bernice and Lyle are lifelong members of St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Town of Forest.

Those left behind to cherish his memory includes his loving wife of 63 years Bernice and their children; Kyle (Chris) Hinn and their son Caleb; Kathy (Darin) Shea and their daughters Jenna (Jared) Lindsley, and Megan (Brad) Dean; Donna (John) Whitty and their daughters Nicole and Brooke ( Fiancé Pete Wisnefske); Deb (Steve) Abel and their children Nate (Shayley Narges), Rachel and Sabrina; great-grandchildren: Maverick, Jackson, Cooper, and Eli Dean, Emma and Riley Lindsley; nieces Cheryl, Lori, Judy and nephew John; sister-in-laws Virginia Sterr and Jeanette Hinn. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings; William, Ruth (Ed) Klindt, Lucille (Robert) Mitzelfeldt, and George, in-laws-Arthur and Leona (Krause) Grahl, brother-in-law Douglas Sterr, and niece Joyce.

VISITATION: Will be held on Sunday February 16, 2025 at St Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church (N6693 County Road W, Mount Calvary) from 12:00pm NOON – 2:00pm.

 

FUNERAL SERVICE: Funeral service for Lyle will begin at 2:00pm with Rev. Ian Headrick officiating. Burial will take place at Forest Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers please consider making donations to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Hospice Home of Hope. A special thank you to Dad’s home caregivers Julie, Jessica, Cora, Aretta, and Lynn. The family would also like to recognize the amazing nurses and staff at Hospice Home of Hope.
