Kenneth "Jesse" Lavrenz

January 14, 1954 — November 22, 2022

Kenneth “Jesse” Lavrenz, 68, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 surrounded by loved ones due to his short battle of ALS. Jesse was born on January 14, 1954 in Fond du Lac, a son of Kenneth and Mary Lavrenz (Wagner). Jesse worked at Johnson Brothers Concrete for 43 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending his time fishing with very many close friends. He especially enjoyed duck hunting with his brother, Henry and best friend, Tom Krenn, along with many others when they went to North Dakota or just on good ole Lake Winnebago. Jesse enjoyed deer hunting in Scrappy’s shack along with Del, Dennis and many others in the woods. Jesse was also a huge collector of John Deere tractors, since age 10. Jesse was a member of Foot of the Lake Fishing Club and enjoyed taking charge of the kid’s fishery. If a band was playing or even a jukebox, you would always find Jesse dancing by himself. Jesse was a father figure to all his younger siblings in addition to being a great big brother.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include the love of his life for 36 years, Debbie Pixley; children, Jesse Lavrenz (Caragan Rasmussen), Dustin Pixley (Amanda Sook), and Douglas Pixley; grandchildren, Dillon Smith, Autumn Sook, and Lily Sook; mother, Mary Lavrenz; and siblings, Scott Lavrenz, Henry Lavrenz, and Susan Lavrenz. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters-in law, Lloyd Hilgendorf, Debbie Lavrenz, Terri (Chuck) Uherka, Dennis (Karen) Mallon, Bev (Jeff) Schmidt, Susie Mallon, Richard Mallon (Kari Kramer), Tina Mallon, Bonnie Mallon, Del (Marisol) Mallon, and Mary Walser; and his special niece, Melissa Mallon, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Kenneth Lavrenz, siblings, Bill Lavrenz and Kim Hilgendorf; mother-in-law, Shirley Mallon; and brother-in-law, Jeff Mallon.

A celebration of Jesse’s life will be held on his birthday, January 14, 2023 from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM at the American Legion, 500 Fond du Lac Ave, Fond du Lac, WI 54935.
