John Charles Vavra, Jr.

John C. Vavra, Jr. 76, of Campbellsport passed away Saturday, March 9th, 2024 at Froedtert West Bend Hospital. He was born on April 11, 1947 in Elkhorn, the son of John C. and Mildred G. (nee Krause) Vavra, Sr. John served his country in the U.S. Army.

On April 12, 1969, he was united in marriage to Judith R. Begush in Port Washington. John worked at Simplicity prior to retirement. He was the former president of the Auburn Meadows Condo Association. John enjoyed fishing, camping, photography, and coin collecting. He was also a Girl and Boy Scout Leader.

Survivors include his children Jennifer (John) Dettmann, John (Sandy) Vavra, III, Jill Vavra, and Chip Colson, grandchildren Jessica (James), Jodi, Julia (Gregg), Carter, Chase, Brian, Leah, and Courtney, 7 great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents, wife Judith on November 5, 2012, daughter Jacqueline, and sister Patricia (Greg) Bennett.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 16th from 1:00 PM until time of service at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport.

Memorial services will be held at Twohig Funeral Home in Campbellsport on Saturday, March 16th at 3:00 PM with Chaplain Jim Mallmann officiating.
