Janell K. Kreif

Janell K. Kreif, 62, of the Town of Eden passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at SSM St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. She was born in Fond du Lac on November 2, 1962, the daughter of Rolland and Jane (nee Larson) Erickson. Janell was united in marriage to David L. Kreif at the Church of Peace in Fond du Lac.

 Janell was a Correctional Officer working at the Fond du Lac County Jail in the Huber and Juvenile Units for 32 years. She was a great scrapbooker and loved deer hunting. Janell also enjoyed thrifting, getting her hair and nails done, and helping the boys around the farm but her pride and joy was the years she spent working and helping the juveniles during their difficulties.

 Survivors include her husband Dave, children Corey Mueller, Gina Kreif, and Kelly (Travis Kraus) Kreif, sister Suanne Gerritson, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 Janell was preceded in death by her parents Rolland and Jane, sister Pam Erickson, and brother-in-law Dean Gerritson.

 Visitation will be Saturday, February 1st from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Church of Peace UCC, 158 S. Military St. Fond du Lac followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 pm at the Church of Peace. Rev. Stephen Stepp will officiate and inurnment will be in Rienzi Cemetery.

 The Kreif family extends a big thanks to the Eden First Responders, Campbellsport EMTs, and SSM Health St. Agnes ER Staff Fond du Lac for all they did.
