Frank E. Wix

Frank E. Wix 79, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully at SSM Hospice Home of Hope with his family by his side on Thursday, August 15, 2024. He was born in Fond du Lac on January 16, 1945, the son of the late Alvin and Dorothy Wix (nee Gfrorer). He graduated from Goodrich High School in 1963. On March 25, 1972, he married Judith A. Vincent. He worked for Mercury Marine for 38 years before retiring in 2005. He enjoyed shooting pool, bowling, classic cars, woodworking, slot machines, and spending time with his grandchildren and beloved dog Paco.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his children; daughter, Jennifer Wix, son, Christopher (Angela) Wix; 5 grandchildren, Jaiden, Maxwell, Trenton, Sullivan, and William; brother, Richard (Mary) Wix and sisters, Sandy Kemnitz, and Mary (John) McCadden; sisters-in-law, Barbara Wix and Coralee Vincent; He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Judith in 2020, his brother Robert Wix, sister Carol Weigel, brothers-in-law Jim Kemnitz, Carleton Weigel, Michael Vincent, and Ronald Vincent Sr. mother-in-law, Geraldine Enfelt, father-in-law, Paul Vincent, Step-father Harold Koentopp; Step-father-in-law John Enfelt, sisters-in-law Debbie Vincent and Diane Vincent, granddaughter, Hazel Wix, and niece Bobbi Jo Schmitz.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave Fond du Lac, WI. 54935. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 pm with Chaplain Jim Mallmann officiating.
