Christine Ann Makowski

On December 6, 2022, Christine Ann Makowski, age 70, of Fond du Lac, after a spirited fight with cancer, in God’s grace joined loving family members awaiting her in heaven.

Born in Fond du Lac to Leo and Audrey Kelley on March 27, 1952, the oldest girl of eleven siblings, Chris achieved an amazing early start learning how to take care of others.  By the time her own kids came along she had mastered and continued to enhance her God given ability to teach through faith, perseverance, and love.  Her true strength would always show brightest in the most difficult situations, and her unshakable connection with God would see each of us through, time and time again. She taught those around her the true meaning of faith and strength, which was given to her by God.

Chris is survived by her husband Steven Makowski, son Jason Makowski (wife Debra, daughter Ella), daughter Michelle LaPine (daughter Alexandra), and son Joseph Makowski (wife Jenny, son Brayden). Siblings Mike (Sherri) Kelley, Pat (Debbie) Kelley, Terry (Andy) Schad, Dennis (Monica) Kelley, Colleen (John) Smedberg, Mary (Mark) Tautges, Rita (late John) Marcin, Tim (Karen) Kelley, Annette (Dennis) Melvin, and Barb (Steve) Konen.  Many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Audrey Kelley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 11:00 am at Sons of Zebedee – St. John’s Church, W5882 Church Rd. Fond du Lac, WI 54937. Rev. Miniatt will officiate, and burial will be at Sons of Zebedee – St. John’s Cemetery in Byron.  Visitation will be Monday, December 12, 2022 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am at Sons of Zebedee St. John’s church hall.

PLEASE do not send flowers.  In lieu, have Masses said for the Holy Souls in Purgatory.
