Charles Edward Keskinen

Charles E. Keskinen, 78, of Long Lake, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Cedar Grove Gardens. Charlie was born on October 9, 1943 in Loves Park, Illinois, a son of the late Felix and Laina Keskinen (nee Mattson). On December 12, 1962, he married Jolyn Meyer in Milwaukee. Charlie worked as a Machinist, Supervisor, and a Maintenance Man at several companies in his career. He also owned and operated a window business with his brother, Art. Charlie was a member and past president of the Crooked Trails Snowmobile Club, a member of the I.O.O.B. Club, Long Lake Preservation Club, and the Long Lake Haven Association. He was an avid snowmobiler, hunter, fisherman, woodworker, and was an all-around handyman. Later in life, he enjoyed watching birds. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family and cherished the time spent teaching his grandchildren to fish.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Jolyn; children, Tim Keskinen of Fond du Lac and Tammy (Jeff) Hansen of Delafield; grandchildren, Keith (Amanda) Keskinen, Chelsea Hansen (significant other Nick Pancrazi), Andrew (Megan) Hansen, and Kyriel Hansen; greatgrandchild, Tori Held; and brother, Art (Marie) Keskinen. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his grandson, Bobby Keskinen; and his brother, Jim Keskinen.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W Main Street Campbellsport, WI. 53010 and burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Dundee. Charlie’s family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the start of the memorial service.
