Carmelita “Carmy” Schultz (nee Maas), 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Grace Commons in Menomonee Falls. She was born on May 29, 1932 in Sheboygan, WI, the daughter of August and Elsie Maas (nee Kaboth) who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Milton “John” Schultz. Together they shared countless memories with family and friends in all of the places they called home.
Carmy will be dearly missed by her children Sheryl (Fred) Aicher, Marcy Hauer, Steven Schultz (Debbie), David Schultz, Kathy Zynda (Al); grandchildren Bill (Erica) Schultz, Stacy (Mark) Didier, Kristen (Adam) Barr, Kelsey Aicher (husband Neil), Casey (Morgan) Hauer, Jami Hauer (Alex), Lane Hauer and Kerry Zynda; great-grandchildren Morgan, Spencer, Trevin, Payton, Parker, Evelyn, Walter, and Carson. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Carmy and her husband John moved their family from Sheboygan to Menomonee Falls. After John’s retirement they moved to Campbellsport and divided their time between Birchwood Lake and Florida. Carmy was active at Good Shepherd as a Girl Scout Leader, Den Mother, member of the Ladies Altar Sodality. Carmy with husband John organized “WI Days” for friends in FL. No matter where Carmy lived, she always enjoyed frequent chats with friends over coffee. She loved music, dancing, socializing with friends, entertaining, gardening, canning and sharing her delicious dill pickles. She loved making floral arrangements and other decorations for many church events and for special occasions of family and friends.
Carmy looked forward to visits from grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed watching them fish at Birchwood Lake, joining them for a pontoon boat ride, visiting Disney with them and celebrating life events like graduations and weddings.
Carmy will be remembered for her dedication and love of family and friends.
Visitation is Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 10:00 followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, N88 W17658 Christman Rd Menomonee Falls, WI 53051. Private Interment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church or to Medical College of Wisconsin Eye Institute for continued research in macular degeneration, an eye disease she was afflicted with and kept abreast of new developments in treatment.
