Beatrice M. Dins, 98, formerly of Dundee passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the Ripon Medical Center. She was born in Town of Auburn on October 20, 1922, the daughter of Reuben and Mathilda (nee Jandre) Backhaus. She was baptized on November11, 1922 and confirmed on May 24, 1936 at St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Kewaskum. She attended Kewaskum and Campbellsport High Schools graduating from Campbellsport. She graduated from the Wisconsin Academy of Cosmetic Art and worked as a beautician, and after her marriage continued the work at her home. On July 31, 1943 Beatrice married Carl O. Dins at St. Lucas Lutheran Church. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Dundee and the Trinity Ladies Aid. Beatrice was an active supporter of Winnebago Lutheran Academy, serving in the Auxiliary and doing volunteer cooking there. She enjoyed painting by number, gardening, and she crocheted many afghans for family and friends. She also knitted many booties and mittens to donate to charity groups.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her children Kathleen M. (John) Staab of Kirkland, WA, Carl R. (Nettie) Dins, Kenneth K. (Leona) Dins all of Tempe, AZ, David D. (Rosie) Dins of Dundee and Mary K. (Mark) Priebe of Green Lake, 13 grandchildren Joel (Clarissa) Staab, Artie (Eun Joo Kim) Dins, Sara (Barry) Redman, Jonathan (Sarah) Dins, Scott (Heather) Ludwig, Shelly Ludwig, Crystal Dins, Deanna (Brad) Weinreich, Danelle (Rob) Rymarkiewicz, David (Danielle) Dins, Clinton (Carey) Priebe, Katie (Eric) Ritchie and Kurtis Priebe, 31 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She will be dearly remembered for her love of others and for the way she put her trust in her Lord.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl on July 24, 1999, infant sister Darlene, brother Delbert Backhaus and sisters Dorothy (Henry) Pieper and Vernice (William) Lenz.
A private graveside service will be held on Friday, August 20th at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery with Pastor Bobby Oberg officiating, and burial will follow in the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Winnebago Lutheran Academy Building Fund and Waucousta Lutheran Grade School.
