Anthony "Tony" "Buzz" Loehr

Anthony “Tony” “Buzz” Loehr, 77, of Fond du Lac passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at his home with his loving family gathered with him. He was born on September 17, 1946 in Fond du Lac, the son of Claude and Lillian (Olig) Loehr. Buzz served in the Army Reserve from 1965 to 1971. On August 4, 1984, Buzz was united in marriage to Patricia Letourneau at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. He worked at Mercury Marine for 45 years before retiring.

Buzz enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards, and gathering with family and friends. He loved going out to eat and having a cocktail or two. Buzz was hard-working and a friend to many.

Survivors include his wife Patty, siblings Karen (Jim) Baumhardt, Chuck (Sheila) Loehr, Claudia “Muff” (Dave) Gitter, and Margie (Ken) Ketter, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Andrea Blalock, Tom Letourneau, and Jan Letourneau, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Buzz was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Lillian, in-laws Paul and Lois Letourneau, Sr, brothers-in-law Paul Letourneau, Jr, and John Blalock, nephew Jamie Mertens and great nephew Patrick Gitter.

Visitaion will be Friday, January 5th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, 1562 County Road B, Eden.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 5th at 12:00 pm at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church. Rev. Mark Jones will officiate and his cremains will be placed in a niche at Ledgeview Memorial Park at a later date.

The family extends a special thank you to the staffs of SSM Cancer Center and SSM Health at Home Hospice.
