Lorraine H. Habeck, 81, of Fond du Lac went to her heavenly home on Thursday Aug. 30,2007 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home with her family gathered around her. She was born in the Town of Forest on July 23, 1926 the daughter of Louis and Laura Steinke Weigel Sr. On April 7, 1951 she married David H. Habeck at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. David preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1998. Lorraine worked at the Hob Nob Restaurant and at Taycheedah Correctional Institution. Lorraine was a loving mother and a good friend and will be greatly missed by all. Lorraine was a member of St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, the Gleaners, and the WLA Auxiliary. Survivors include her 3 daughters: Sandra (special friend Tom Schmidlkofer) Habeck of Oshkosh, Donna (William) Freyer of New Troy, MI, and Sharon Habeck of Madison, one son Donald Habeck of Fond du Lac, 2 step-grandchildren, one sister Adeline Seibel of Eden and one brother Louis Weigel Jr. of Mt. Calvary, one brother-in-law Reuben Brown of Fond du Lac and 2 sister-in-laws: Sarah Mueller of Fond du Lac and Lillian Baganz of Mt. Calvary, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David and one sister Marcella Brown, 8 brother-in-laws and 5 sister-in-laws. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday Sept 4 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. The Rev. Jon Cox will officiate and burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery in the Town of Forest. Visitation will be Monday at the Twohig Funeral Home in Fond du Lac from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of services at the church.
