Russell P. Waldron, 79, of Theresa died peacefully with his family by his side Sept. 7, 2007 at All about Life Rehab Center. He was born October 21, 1927 in Marinette, the son of Harry and Frances Keenan Waldron. He married Laura Moon on February 27, 1954 at Portage. He was an owner/operator of Theresa Auto Parts from 1970 until 2002. Russ started racing in 1948 and owned a car until 2002. He had a passion for late model, sportsman and modified car racing in Eastern Wisconsin. He raced at Plymouth, Slinger, Chilton, Wilmont, Cedarburg, Franksville, Oakfield, Luxemburg, Beaver Dam, Hales Corners, Francis Creek and all the way up to Souix, Canada. In 2000, Russ was awarded the Eastern Wisconsin Stock Car Inc. Inaugural Appreciation Award because Russ was always there to lend a helping hand. Survivors include his wife Laura, 3 daughters: Charlotte (Butch) Wondra of Campbellsport, and Dawn(Denis) Margelofsky of Fond du Lac and Laurie (Michael) King of Grand Junction, CO and one son Dave (Laurie Jo) Waldron of Waupun, 9 grandchildren: Doug, Todd, and Brooke Wondra, Amanda and Nicole Margelofsky, Tyler Hafemann, Trevor King and Nick and Sarah Waldron, 3 great grandchildren: Calleigh, Amari and Blake Wondra, 2 sisters: Muriel Willman of Crystal Falls, MN and Patricia Butch of Horicon and 1 sister-in-law Dot Griffin of Orange, TX, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Russell was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother Harold and 1 sister Marjorie Cooper. The family of Russ would like to thank the staff at All About Life for their tender loving care for the last 5 years. Funeral services will be held Sunday Sept. 9, 2007 at 7:00 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home in Fond du Lac with Rev. Douglas Vick officiating with entombment at the Ledgeview Memorial Park on Monday at 10AM. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 PM until the time of the service.
