Shirley A. Freidig, 77, of 7108 Explorer Dr. Fond du Lac passed away on Friday Sept. 7, 2007 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was born in Fond du Lac on April 1, 1930 the daughter of William and Rose DuFrane Pose. On March 14, 1966 she married Robert Freidig in Fond du Lac. Shirley worked at Mercury Marine prior to retirement and was a member of Presentation Catholic Church in North Fond du Lac. Survivors include her son Ronald (Kathy) Mumm of Fond du Lac, her brother Maurice (Marilyn) Pose of Fond du Lac, her dear friend Mary Wagner of Fond du lac, her beloved dog Sam, nieces and nephews Stephen (Carol) Bostwick, Nanci (Tom) McGray, Jim (Shari) Pose, Laura (Bill) Meeks and Sharon Bostwick, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents, her sister Audre Bostwick, her brother-in-law Ralph “Bud” Bostwick, her niece Lynda Gitter and her nephew Michael Bostwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday Sept. 11 at 11:00 AM at Presentation Catholic Church in North Fond du Lac. Rev. John Simon will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 AM until time of mass at the church. Twohig Funeral Home, Fond du Lac, is serving the family. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at the Lutheran Home for their compassion and caring that they gave Shirley and her family during this sad time. Shirley will be missed by the many people who were in her life.
