Margaret H. O’Brien, 90, of Eden passed away on Sat. Sept. 8, 2007 at Ivy Manor in Campbellsport. She was born on April 29, 1917 in the Town of Byron the daughter of the late William F. and Helen C. Costello Ferguson. On Dec. 2, 1939 she married George M O’ Brien at St. John’s Church in Byron. They farmed together in the Town of Eden on the O’Brien family homestead. Margaret was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Church, Eden, the National Catholic Society of Foresters, Eden Rosary Club, the Irish History Club and NAMI. Margaret loved her winter vacations in Florida and her trip to Ireland but most of all she loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her son Edward (Judy) of Eden, her daughters-in-law Barbara A. O’Brien of Eden, Antoinette (Ray) Timm of Fond du Lac, Nancy O’ Brien of Eden and Barbara R. (Fuller) McBride of Fond du Lac, her grandchildren Erin (Chris Pellerin) O’Brien, Sean (Candi) O’Brien, Megan (Paul) Hyland, Anthony (Hope) O’Brien, Terry O’Brien, Kim (John) Greene, Bill (Becky) O’Brien, Patty (Tom) Wettstein, Jeff (Michelle) O’Brien, Kathryn (Ron) Ebert, Robert (fiancé Trisha) O’Brien, Tim O’Brien, Kelly O’Brien and Kevin (Julie) O’Brien, her great grandchildren Austin, Samantha, Kean, Michael, Jordan, Nola, Julia, Josiah, Bergen, Abe, Brenna, Cavanaugh, Ryan and Alex, her sisters Rosemary O’Brien of Fond du Lac and Delphine Johnson of Waupun, her brother John (Shirley) Ferguson of Byron, special friends Jim and Thelma, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband George on Feb. 6, 1999 and four sons Michael, George, David and J. Thomas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday Sept. 11 at 11:00 AM at Shepherd of the Hills, Hwy B Eden. Rev. Joseph Juknialis will officiate and burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Eden. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 PM Monday at the Twohig Funeral Home Fond du Lac and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Fr. Mike Shea’s Mission in Thailand or Heartland Hospice.
