Florence Douglas, 101, of Fond du Lac died Friday Sept. 14, 2007 at Manorcare Nursing Home in Fond du Lac. She was born on January 15, 1906 in Kalmata, Greece the daughter of James and Mary Gianacopolas Skarpas. She married John Douglas in Chicago in 1925. He preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 1969. Florence was a gentle woman and mom and she loved to crochet pillows, curtains and doilies. She is survived by 3 daughters: Patricia Douglas of Fond du Lac, Bessie Doimas of Chicago, and Mary Hafemeister of Long Island, NY and 2 sons: Nick Douglas of Phoenix and James (Sandra) Douglas of KS, 18 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 daughter Irene and 1 sister Bessie Katkas. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday September 18, 2007 at 11 AM at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 198 N. Macy St. Fond du Lac with the Rev.
