Mildred A. Keys, 80, of Fond du Lac Lutheran Home and formerly of 759 Pioneer Rd died unexpectedly Wed. Sept. 19, 2007 at the St. Agnes Hospital. She was born July 18, 1927 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Walter G. and Dora Becker Immel. She married George “Bud” Keys on August 25, 1948 at St. Paul’s Lutheran in the Town of Forest. They farmed in their early years and then they owned and operated Keys Land Improvement Co. since 1955. Mildred was the Office Manager. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and a former member of the Friendly Neighbors Homemakers and 4-H. Survivors include her 2 sisters: Delores Mielke of Kewaskum and Marjorie (Jerome) Geiger of Fond du Lac and 4 brothers: Vernon (Lila) Immel of Fond du Lac, Gordon (Carolyn) and Harlan (Verna) Immel of Dotyville and Lyle (Barbara) Immel of North Fond du Lac, 3 sister-in-laws: Charlotte (Earl) Morgan of Mt. Calvary, Susan Immel of Eden and Ila Seibel of Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George “Bud” on Oct. 24, 2000, 2 brothers: Raymond “Bud” Immel and Myron “Sam” Immel and 2 brother-in-laws: Fred Mielke and Elmer Seibel. Funeral services will be held Saturday September 22, 2007 at 1:30 PM at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Town of Forest with Rev. Mark Barenz officiating with burial at the Ledgeview Memorial Park.
