Sister Rosalita Hurley SSSF, 97, a resident of St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport died Monday Oct. 1, 2007 at the convent. She was born on March 2, 1910 in Washington, DC the daughter of the late Joseph and Jame Macklin Hurley. She joined the School Sisters of St. Francis Community on June 14, 1932 professing her vows on Aug. 23, 1934. Sister Rosalita served her community as a teacher at a number of community missions. Survivors include many nieces and nephews, other relatives, friends and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wed. Oct. 3 at 1:30 PM at St. Joseph Convent, 526 Mill St. Campbellsport. Burial will follow in Sisters Cemetery Campbellsport. Visitation will be Wed. from 10:00 AM until time of mass at the convent. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the School Sisters of St. Francis.
