Margaret M. Bernhagen, 85, of Campbellsport passed away peacefully on Tuesday Oct. 2, 2007 at her home with her family gathered around her. She was born on January 20, 1922 in Waupun the daughter of the late Peter B. and Mary Priepke Jones. Margaret married Gilbert Hoeft in Neshkoro in 1936 and after Gilbert’s death, she married Orlando Bernhagen on May 20, 1946 in Beaver Dam. Margaret was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Campbellsport where she was active in the choir, the Dorcas Society and the Ladies Aid. Survivors include her sons Donald (Wendy) Hoeft of Morrison, Ronald (Sandra) Bernhagen of Adams and Russell Bernhagen of Campbellsport, 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, her brothers Larry (Cecilia) Jones and David (Shirley) Jones both of Fond du Lac, her sister Alyce (Gordon) Burmester of Wisconsin Rapids, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands Gilbert and Orlando, her sons Robert and Richard, her daughter Patricia, her granddaughter Tricia, her grandson Ronald, her sisters Leona, Violet and Delores and her brothers Edgar and Peter. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 5 at 11:30 AM at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Campbellsport. Rev. Paul A. Cerny will officiate and burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park in Milwaukee. Visitation will be Thursday Oct. 4 from 4-8 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport and on Friday from 10:30 AM to time of services at the church.
