Ervin C. Buddenhagen, 81, of Campbellsport passed away Tuesday Nov. 6, 2007 at his home. He was born on Aug. 1, 1926 in Elmore the son of the late Duncan and Lily Bartelt Buddenhagen. On Dec. 2, 1950 he married Laura Mae Scheurman at the Campbellsport United Church of Christ. Ervin farmed in the Town of Auburn and was a rural carrier for the Fond du Lac Reporter for 9 years. He was a member of the Campbellsport United Church of Christ and was the caretaker of Elmore Cemetery for 20 years. Ervin enjoyed camping, bicycling and hunting. Survivors include his wife Laura, his children Daniel (Joan) of Campbellsport, Phyllis (Bruce) Svingen of Rochester, MN, Kay (DuWayne) Mayer of Lomira and Bruce (Marilyn) of Kokomo, IN, his grandson Travis (Julie) Buddenhagen of Campbellsport, his great granddaughter Marie Mae, his brother-in-law Robert Scheurman of Kewaskum, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Henry and Henry’s wife Betty and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Arthur Scheurmann, Charles and Helen Scheurman and Lois Scheurman. Funeral services will be held on Thursday Nov. 8 at 2:00 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport. Rev. Stevens Hilyard will officiate and burial will follow in Elmore Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon until time of services at the funeral home.
