Robert Sidney Crofts

Robert S. Crofts, 78, of Eden went to his heavenly home on Tues. Jan. 8, 2008 at St. Agnes Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Fond du Lac on May 31, 1929 the son of the late Sidney G. and Nina M. Ottery Crofts. On Oct. 7, 1950 he married Mary Timblin at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Armstrong. They shared 57 wonderful years together. Bob had an amazing passion for farming and enjoyed great success in the business. He deeply loved spending time with his family. Bob and Mary farmed together in the Town of Empire until 1962 and then in the Town of Osceola until 2000. Bob and Mary moved from the farm to Eden in 1988. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Parish and the Knights of Columbus Council # 664. Bob also was a member of the Midland Co-op serving on the Board of Directors, was a seed corn dealer for 30 years and served on the Board of Appeals for the Town of Osceola. Bob's positive approach to life and perseverance in battling Parkinson's disease for 30 years will be remembered by all. Survivors include his wife Mary, his daughters Maureen “Mickey” (Bob) Brault of Fond du Lac, Sue (John) Ellison of Oconomowoc and Anne (Todd) Young of Holmen, his sons Rob (special friend Holly) of Glenbeulah, Steve of Eden and Jeff (Becky) of Eden, his daughter-in-law Linda Crofts of Eden, his grandchildren Lucas and Jacob Brault, Jamie (Chris) Allen, Sarah (Jason) Sarchet, Mark and Matt Gantner, J.R. and Sam Ellison, Jimmer, Joe, Julie and Jenna Crofts, Robbie and Michael Crofts, Tyler and Sarena Young and Kya and Abigail Crofts, his great grandchildren Tait and Grayson Allen and Colin Crofts, his sisters Joyce (Ed) Byrnes of Fond du Lac, Alice Morava of Williams Bay and Shirley Lenz of Greendale, his brothers Sidney Crofts, Jr. of Hugo, MN and John (Annette) Crofts of Jacksonville, FL, his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Bill and Mary Ann Timblin of Eden and Carole Timblin of Kewaskum, other relatives and friends. He was preceded by his son James. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Fri. Jan. 11 at 2:00 PM at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, W1562 Hwy B Eden. Rev. Joseph Juknialis will officiate and burial will follow St. Mary’s Cemetery, Eden. Visitation will be Fri. Jan 11 from 10:30 AM until 1:30 PM at the church. Memorials may be directed to Parkinson’s Research or to the St. Francis Home. A special thanks to caregiver Doug Heberer, Sister Jean Braun and St. Agnes Hospital.
