Darold “Punky” Seresse, 75, of Fond du Lac died peacefully January 16, 2008 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born Feb. 12, 1932 in Fond du Lac, the son of Irving and Lucille Welch Seresse. Darold was in the National Guard from 1949 until 1954. He married Marion Lang on Feb. 26, 1956 in Zion, IL. She preceded him in death on Aug. 8, 1983. He was a member of the Church of Peace United Church of Christ Church and the Eagles #270 Club. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Darold was an avid golfer, Packer fan and played sheepshead. Survivors include his special friend “Flip” Norma Jean Wondra and her family, one son Glen (Mary) of St. Charles, MN and 3 daughters: Cindy (Jeff McArthur fiancé) Seresse, Lynn (Gary) Ewerdt both of North Fond du Lac, and Janet (Dean) Luger of Oakfield, 7 grandchildren: Brad, J.D., Nacole, Tabitha, Jeremy, Matthew and Joshua, 4 great grandchildren: Eva, Kaytlyn, Madison and Jonah, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Darold was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marion and one brother Delton. Funeral services will be held Saturday January 19, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Church of Peace, 158 S. Military Rd. Fond du Lac with Rev. James F.D. Martin and Rev. Jennifer C.M. Dawson officiating and burial to follow at the Estabrooks Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Due to road construction, there is access to the church lot for parking to the north of the church.
