Frank James Nett, 54, of Fond du Lac, passed away at Sunrise on Easter Sunday March 23, 2008 at his home with his loving family gathered around him. He was born on September 28, 1953 in Portland, OR, the son of John “Jack” and Eleanor “Ann” Menne Nett. He was a graduate of Campbellsport High School and MPTI with an Associate Engineering Degree. He married Jeanne C. Wimberger on June 23, 1973 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eden. Frank worked at Mercury Marine for 33 years with his last position being Program Director. Frank was on the Eden Village Board and St. Mary’s Eden Parish Council, a member of The Elks Club and St. Mary’s Springs Booster Club and was an assistant football coach for F.A.C.E.S. Frank had a passion and love for his family and friends and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandsons. He took great enjoyment from fishing, woodworking, cooking and being in the northwoods. Frank’s smile would light up a room. . Survivors include his wife and best friend Jeanne, two sons: Joseph “Joe” (Heather) Nett of Sun Prairie and Jacob “Jake” (Elizabeth) Nett of Milwaukee, two special grandsons Isaac and Jonah, his father John “Jack” Nett of Murfreesboro, TN, his brother Paul (Judy) Nett of Green Bay, his sisters Jeanne Lewis of Murfreesboro, TN and Marie (Mike) Briggs of Green Bay, his brother and sister-in-laws Julie Nett, Joan and Ed McEnroe, Ruth and John McEnroe, Jim and Sue Wimberger, Mary Sadoff, Marcy and Denny Loehr and Joe and Jane Wimberger, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Frank was preceded in death by his mother Eleanor “Ann” Nett, his brother John Nett, his father and mother-in-law Claude and Gertrude Wimberger and his brother-in-law Richard “Dick” Sadoff. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday Mar. 27, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Church, 401 Fourth St. Way, Fond du Lac. Friends may call at the Twohig Funeral Home 305 Fond du Lac Ave on Wednesday March 26th from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and at the church on Thurs. from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. A memorial will be established in Frank’s name.
