Madeline A, Hug, 91, formerly of Campbellsport passed away on Thursday March 27, 2008 at the Villa Loretto Nursing Home. Mt Calvary. She was born on Aug. 22, 1916 in Fargo, ND the daughter of the late Alfred and Philamena Reiser Wild. On April 6, 1940 she married Leonard Hug, Sr. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1970. Later she married Wilfred Gundrum and he also preceded her in death. Madeline worked at Regalware for 27 years and was an associate at St. Joseph Convent. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Campbellsport, the Christian Women, the Mission Sewing Circle and the 25 year Club at Regalware. She was an avid gardener and canner and she enjoyed crocheting and making quilts. Survivors include her children Leonard (Karen) Hug, Jr. of Fond du Lac, Rita Johann of Kewaskum and Richard (Jessica) Hug of Milwaukee, her grandchildren Eugenia (Mike) Malson, Dawn Hug, Sally (Jerry) Flynn, Jennie Hug all of Fond du Lac, Sheri (Jeffrey) Bannenberg, Leann (Steven “Gus”) Karoses all of Kewaskum, Candice (Sean) Riley of West Bend, Richard (Rachel) Hug of Milwaukee, Craig (Faith) Hug of Jacksoville, NC, Oliver Hug of Beverly Hills, CA and Jennifer Hug of Milwaukee, ten great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, ten step-children, her sister Angeline (Phil) Krezinski of Beaver Dam, her brother Gilbert (Marge) Wild of Beaver Dam, brother-in-laws, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Along with her husbands she was preceded in death by a grandson Josh and eight brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sunday March 30 at 3:00 PM at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Campbellsport. Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate and burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 PM until time of service at the church.
