Sister Catherine Holthaus, SSSF, “Sister Ignatia” 98 passed away on Friday Sept. 12, 2008 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. She was born on June 15, 1910 in Beckemeyer, IL, the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Feldman Holthaus. Sister joined the School Sisters of St. Francis on June 11, 1931 and professed her vows on August 8, 1934. She served her community as a teacher, a homemaker and a stenographer at various community missions. Sister Catherine is the beloved sister of Mary (Louis) Enkelmann. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community with whom she shared her life for 77 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wed. Sept. 17, 2008 at 1:30 PM at St. Joseph Convent, 526 Mill St. Campbellsport. Burial will follow in Sisters Cemetery Campbellsport.
