Sister Celine Neuhalfen, SSSF, “Sister Antoniette”,76, passed away on Wed. Sept. 17, 2008 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. She was born on Jan. 23, 1932 in Hartington, NE the daughter of the late Anthony J. and Veronica Gubbels Neuhalfen. Sister joined the School Sisters of St. Francis on June 12, 1952 and professed her vows on June 21, 1954. Sister Celine served her community as a registered nurse and an administrator including serving as administrator at Waupun Memorial Hospital Sister Celine is the beloved sister of Vincent of San Antonio, TX, Daniel of Crofton, ME, William of Cedar Lake, IN,Jerome of Neola, IA, Edna Molina of San Antonio, TX, Alice Prosser of Montgomery, AL and Carol Cerny of St. Mary’s, KS. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community with whom she shared her life for 56 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Mon. Sept. 22, 2008 at 1:30 PM at St. Joseph Convent, 526 Mill St. Campbellsport. Burial will follow in Sisters Cemetery Campbellsport.
