Robert Clayton Neis

Robert C. Neis, 86, died on October 21, 2008 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. He was born on Aug. 18, 1922 the son of Joseph E. and Marie T. Bechler Neis in Fond du Lac, WI. He graduated from Goodrich High School in 1941. Bob enlisted on March 26, 1943 in the U.S. Navy and served his country in WW II in the European and Pacific Theater, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He retired from the U.S. Coast Guard in 1968. Survivors include a multitude of cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Francis. Graveside services will be held on Saturday October 25, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac, with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating, the Trier- Puddy American Legion Post will conduct the military rites.
