Francis J. “Sonny” Twohig, 83, of Armstrong passed away on Saturday Nov. 1, 2008 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. He was born in Plymouth on May 30, 1925 the son of the late William and Ida Ditter Twohig. Francis farmed in the Town of Forest until retiring. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, Eden and formerly Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Armstrong where he belonged to the Holy Name Society, the Vincent De Paul Society and served as a trustee for 26 years. Sonny also was a member of the Our Lady of Angels Cemetery Assoc. and the Winnebago East Shore Lions Club. Survivors include his sisters Joann (Jack) Briggs of Brownsville and Kay Kohlman of Fond du Lac, his niece Jackie Briggs, his nephew Douglas (Anna) Briggs, his great nephew John L. Briggs, his great nieces Paige and Cortney Briggs and his canine companion Grizzly. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Eugene Adrian. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday Nov. 6th at 11:00 AM at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church W1562 Hwy B Eden. Rev. Joseph Juknialis will officiate and burial will follow in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Armstrong. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of mass at the church.
