Ruth M. Calvey, 90, died Mon. Dec. 16, 2008 at the Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mt. Calvary surrounded by her family. She was born Dec. 22, 1917 in St. Cloud the daughter of the late Phillip and Clara Mihm Abler. On Nov. 24, 1938 she married Bernard Calvey at St. Claudia Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Bernard preceded her in death on March 18, 2008. Ruth loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, baking bread and basket weaving. She was a woman full of faith. Survivors include 2 sons: Joseph (Peg) of Appleton and Dan (Linda) of Fond du Lac, 5 daughters: Karen (John) Nosch of Wauconda, IL, Pat (Stance) Bergelin and Colleen (Greg) Kramer both of Fond du Lac, Mary (Charles) Mathers of Mequon, Katie Mathes of Kiel, 25 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren, 2 daughters-in-law: Janice Calvey of Amherst and Eileen Calvey of Westerville, OH, 4 sisters: Mary Alice Baus of St. Cloud, Doris (Joe) Eiring of Kiel, Phylis (Cyril) Ausloos and Donna (Frank) Ditter both of St. Cloud, 1 sister-in-law Verna Eggebean and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard, her parents, two sons: Thomas and Christopher and an infant daughter Colleen, three brothers Stanley, Sylvester and Gordon Abler and one sister Verna Baus. Funeral services will held on Sat. Dec. 20, 2008 at 6:00 PM at the Villa Loretto Chapel at N8114 Calvary Street Mt. Calvary with Fr. Oliver officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Michael’s Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call at Villa Loretto Chapel from 3:00 PM until the time of the service.
