Jane Ecker, 77 of Fond du Lac passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday December 27, 2008 at home. She was born on October 7, 1931 in Fond du Lac, WI the daughter of Elmer and Alice Lurvey Stenz. She graduated from Goodrich High School in 1949 and went on to Cosmetology School in Oshkosh. She married Robert Ecker on June 7, 1952 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. Jane worked for R. L. Polk for 17 years and for Hill’s Beauty Salon for over 20 years. Jane loved trailer camping at Pearl Lake campsites #79. Survivors include her husband Robert of 56 years, 2 sons: Bruce and Steve (Gail),one daughter Susan (Roger) Lont all of Fond du Lac, 5 grandchildren: Ryan and Josie Dowler, Colin, Brittany and Christianna Ecker, one great grandson Quentin Salazar, one sister Judy Murphy of Marion, IL and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother-in-law Dennis Murphy. Private family services will be held and cremation has taken place.
