Leland D.”Pop” Haskins, 56, of Fond du Lac passed away as the New Year drifted in. He was born January 5, 1952 at Great Lakes Naval Base, IL the son of Leland Sr. and Lois Dorn Haskins. He married Juliann Voss on October 8th, 1977. Leland was a railroader for 23 years with the Soo Line, Chicago Northwestern, Wisconsin Southern, Wisconsin Central and the CN Railroads. He loved diving ship wrecks with his father in days gone by, and for the last several years he enjoyed most of his time with his children, grandchildren and dogs. He will be watching over his wife Juliann and his children: Leland III, and Traci, Martina Emilia and her fiancee Gabriel and Hillari, his 9 grandchildren: Chloe, Olivia and Levi Haskins, Collin Haskins-Hamilton, Elliot, Tianna and Meille Schneider, Shyloh and Arian Haskins Hoffman and little George. He is further survived by his father Leland Sr. and step-mother Jean Haskins of Menasha, his sisters families: Lora and Tim Huelster of Fond du Lac, Lorretta and Thomas Ferg of Amhurst, Linda and Jim Turner of Vancouver, WA, Lynne and Erik Ackerman of Springfield, OR and his step siblings families: Dan Sawall of Portland, OR, Cindy and John Gaffney of Pound, Andy and Pam Sawall and Pam and Mark Holewinski both of Menasha, his godson Isaiah Voss and his mother and brother: Joni and Elijah Voss along with his many nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, and grandparents A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday January 4, 2009 with Pastor Will Kennedy officiating at the Twohig Funeral Home at 305 Fond du Lac Avenue. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
