Elizabeth A. Paul, 86, of Fond du Lac formerly of Waupun and Oakfield, died Monday Jan. 19, 2009 at Hospice Home of Hope. She was born on July 20, 1922 in Manitowoc, WI, the daughter of the late Armidos and Emma Zimmerhakel Trottier. She was a 1940 graduate of the Manitowoc High School. She married the love of her life not long after graduation, Donald H. Paul on February 7, 1942 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Donald preceded her in death on October 17, 2002. Betty was a terrific cook and avid gardener. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Holy Family Parish since 2002. Survivors include her 4 sons: Joseph (Judy) of Alachua, FL, James (Janice) of Carmel, IN, John (Marianne) of Coon Rapids, MN and Thomas (Angela) Paul of Escanaba, MI and one daughter Mary Ann (Mike) Kottke of Fountain Hills, AZ, 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, one brother Vernon (June) Trottier of Manitowoc, 2 sisters: Gladys (Steve) Kozora of SC and Bernadine Wachowski of Manitowoc and many other relatives and friends. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, two brothers and one sister. Funeral mass will be held Wed. Jan. 21, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way in Fond du Lac. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
