Loretta M. Fleischman, 90, of Fond du Lac died Wednesday Feb. 4, 2009 at the St. Francis Home. She was born on Feb. 25, 1918 in Mt. Calvary, WI, the daughter of the late John and Rose Abler Koenigs. She married Frank Fleischman on September 30, 1950 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mt. Calvary. Frank preceded her in death on December 6, 1982. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and a former member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and it’s Altar Society, the Mission Quilting Club and the Third Order of St. Francis. She worked at the Fred Ruping Leather Company and she made pies and cookies for the Frazers, Schreiners and Petri’s Restaurants. She loved to clean and garden and feed hickory nuts to the squirrels. Survivors include her sister Marcella Lefeber of Villa Loretta many nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank, five brothers and three sisters. Funeral mass will be held Sat. Feb. 7, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Chapel, 33 Everett Street in Fond du Lac. Friends may call at the chapel from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
