Sister Marie Abler, SSSF, “Sister Aloisetta, 79, passed away Tuesday Feb. 17, 2009 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. She was born on April 17, 1929 in Taycheedah, WI the daughter of the late Alois and Alvina Sabel Abler. Sister joined the School Sisters of St. Francis Community on June 13, 1947 and professed her vows on June 21, 1949. She served her community as a registered nurse. Sister Marie is the beloved sister of Francis (Mary) Abler of Malone, Sister Anne Abler, SSSF of Milwaukee and Leo (Joan) Abler of Bakersfield, CA. She is further survived by other relatives and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community with whom she shared her life for 61 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Mon. Feb. 23, 2009 at 1:30 PM at St. Joseph Convent, 526 Mill St. Campbellsport. Burial will follow in Sisters Cemetery Campbellsport.
