Margaret M. Manthey, 97, formerly of Campbellsport passed away on Monday April 20, 2009 at Manor Care in Fond du Lac. She was born in Campbellsport on January 22, 1912 the daughter of the late Anton and Lena Bach Schrauth. On July 17, 1943 she married Arthur Manthey at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Campbellsport. Margaret worked at Regalware during WW II, at Stella Cheese and as a cook at St. Matthew’s School. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers, Campbellsport VFW Auxiliary, Lomira American Legion Auxiliary, Campbellsport Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, Campbellsport Senior Citizens and was a Girl Scout Leader. Margaret enjoyed playing cards especially 500 and sheepshead, crafting and baking. Survivors include her daughter Judy (James) Geib of Cascade, her grandchildren Brian (Nancy) Jordan of Campbellsport and Heather (Justin) Ripple of Waupun, her great grandchildren John, Josh, Jocelyn, Cortney, Clayton, Hunter and Jacob, her brother-in-law Lawrence (Jean) Manthey of Sheboygan Falls, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur on Oct. 3, 1988, her son-in-law John Jordan and eight brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday April 23, 2009 at 7:00 PM at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Campbellsport. Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate and burial will be Friday in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 PM until time of mass at the church.
