Sandra Sadoff Dixon, 66, a former resident of Fond du Lac, died April 20, 2009 in Austin, Texas. She was born March 27, 1943 in Fond du Lac, a daughter of David and Mary Sadoff. Sandra was a 1961 graduate of Campbellsport High School. She attended Mount Mary College and graduated from Marian College with a degree in English Literature. She married Joseph Dixon in 1963. For twenty-eight years, Sandra worked as an accountant at a Fond du Lac medical clinic. Sandra was generous with her time and energy. A former member and President of Sigma, she helped organize charitable events. A dedicated mother, she was a Troop leader for Girl Scouts of America, active with the PTO, Chairman for the Lakeshore School Fun Fair, and volunteered as a Teacher’s Aide. A licensed pilot, she was an active member with the EAA. Sandra enjoyed the comforts of water more than the sky. Her youth was spent growing up on the shores of Long Lake. Her retirement spent in Naples, Florida. She enjoyed all aspects of Naples life. While waterskiing was reserved for her youth, she continued her love with boating, strolling the beach, and helping the Dolphin Sanctuary. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Sandra embraced the art community and attended the Naples Philharmonic as often as possible. She is survived by her daughter Pamela (Sean) Maguire of Austin, Texas and her son Patrick Dixon of Fond du Lac. Also in loss are her sister-in-law Mary Sadoff; her niece, Samantha (Patrick) Flood; her nephew Aaron (Kelly) Sadoff, all of Fond du Lac; her nephew David Sadoff, of Telluride, Colorado; and six great nieces and nephews who lovingly knew her as Aunt Ora. She was preceded in death by her father, David Sadoff; her mother, Mary Sadoff; brother Richard Sadoff, and baby sister Susan. Her family is together again.
