John Raymond Schaefer, 49, of formerly Campbellsport passed away Thursday May 7, 2009 at Harbor Haven Nursing Home in Fond du Lac. He was born on August 22, 1959 in Plymouth the son of Sylvester and Evangeline Hetzel Schaefer. John was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Campbellsport. John greatly enjoyed music and spending time with his family. Survivors include his mother Evangeline of Campbellsport, his sisters Katherine (Lawrence) Holl of Kewaskum, Patricia (Curtis) Hanson of Brightwood, VA and Diane (Bruce) Schad-Solchenberger of Fond du Lac, his nephews Gregory (Kimberly) Holl of Waukesha, Paul Schad of Appleton and David Schad of Fond du Lac, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Sylvester, a brother Edward and a nephew Steven Holl. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 11th at 3:00 PM at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Campbellsport. Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate and burial will follow in St. John of God Cemetery, Town of Farmington. Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 PM until time of mass at the church.
